About Me
I’m Katherine Travers. I help people to make positive changes in their lives, so that they can move from where they are now to where they want to be.
I was born in Ireland, where my family home was also a thirty five room guest house, run by my grandmother and later my mother, while raising her nine children. From these two resilient, energetic role models, I learned early on that ‘where there’s a will, there’s a way’. I worked in the family business from a very early age, meeting so many interesting people of different nationalities and from all walks of life.
I left home and moved to London when I was nineteen, bought my first property at twenty three, and I am in no doubt that the many business skills and insights I acquired in my youth gave me the foundations to start what is to this day a successful property portfolio business.

In my mid twenties I took two years off in order to travel, hungry to see more of the world. I had some amazing experiences and learned so much about myself and others, not least that there are many ways for people to live a happy life.
On my return to England I joined the world of corporate business, working in the fashion and the interior design industries, and I have over twenty years of business management experience. I managed, coached and mentored my team members and colleagues to achieve their personal and professional goals, always with the conviction that the person is more important than the role they’re in.
I know how challenging it can be to return to work after a career break – I took seven years off when my children were young. During this time I studied counselling at Birkbeck University, and hold a certificate in Counselling and Counselling Skills in Generic Therapeutic Competencies, including Group and Organisational Dynamics. I am also an accredited Mindfulness practitioner and accredited Transformational Coach – Animas Centre for Coaching.
In addition to my private practice, I am also a Yes Futures volunteer coach. Yes Futures is a charity organisation that empowers young people to believe in themselves and discover their personnal potential.

My hobbies include a passion for fashion clothing and interior design, regular Pilates practice and walking in nature – daily on beautiful Hampstead Heath and hiking in the Peak District when I can.
I have had my own challenges through life, and have been acutely aware on many occasion of a lack of significant, authentic communication. I place the utmost value on personal-centred interactions and the importance of engaging with people in a meaningful way.
I believe that a person’s perception is their reality, and that giving that reality the space needed for clarity and understanding is the key to desired and positive change.
When I work with you, I put all my energy and life experience behind you, championing your goals for a successful outcome.
